1. Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 June 2026
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Captain," "Subscriber," or "you") and Helm Command Limited ("HELM," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the HELM Fleet Command platform, including the web application accessible at app.helm-command.com, all associated software, features, modules, AI tools, and content (collectively, the "Platform").
By creating an account, accessing the Platform, using the demo, or clicking any acceptance button, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users including captains, vessel owners, crew members, yacht management companies, and any other individuals or entities accessing the Platform in any capacity.
2. Description of Service
HELM Fleet Command is a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to assist maritime professionals in organising and managing vessel operations. The Platform includes modules covering crew management, maintenance planning, compliance documentation, charter operations, financial tracking, provisioning, voyage planning, and AI-powered operational assistance.
HELM is an organisational and operational tool. It is expressly not a flag state approved system, a classification society approved planned maintenance system (PMS), a statutory record-keeping system, or a substitute for any legally required maritime documentation, procedure, or professional judgment.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent and warrant that all information provided is accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
HELM reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account where we reasonably believe the account information is false, misleading, or in violation of these Terms.
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
Access to the Platform is provided on a subscription basis. All prices are stated in United States Dollars (USD). The following plans are currently available:

Following the trial, continued access requires a valid payment method. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Annual billing provides a 10% discount, reflected in the per-vessel/per-seat rates above.
Currency at checkout: All prices on the HELM platform are displayed in USD. At Stripe checkout, customers may select USD or EUR; Stripe handles the EUR conversion using live exchange rates. HELM receives settlement in USD regardless of the currency selected at checkout.
Enterprise contract carve-out (Tiers 3 through 6 — Enterprise, Fleet, Enterprise Plus, and Global Fleet): These tiers are not available through automated Stripe checkout. Onboarding for these tiers is via the enterprise inquiry process and a separately negotiated commercial agreement. Billing for these tiers is conducted offline by invoice, with payment terms, vessel volume commitments, SLAs, and any additional contractual provisions set out in that agreement. Where any provision of an executed enterprise agreement conflicts with these Terms, the enterprise agreement controls for that subscriber. Standard self-service cancellation and refund provisions in Section 5 of these Terms do not apply to Tiers 3 through 6; cancellation and refund terms for those tiers are governed exclusively by the executed enterprise agreement.
All prices are stated exclusive of VAT or applicable taxes. Where VAT or local tax applies, it will be added at checkout at the applicable rate.
HELM reserves the right to modify pricing upon 30 days written notice to subscribers. Notice will be sent to the billing contact email on record. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. Subscribers who do not wish to accept a price change may cancel before the effective date in accordance with Section 5.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the Billing & Plans section of the Platform or by contacting us at hello@helm-command.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
Upon cancellation, your account will remain accessible until the end of the paid period, after which access will be suspended. Your data will be retained for 90 days following cancellation to allow for data export, after which it will be permanently deleted.

4. AI and Automated Systems Disclaimer
Last updated: 15 June 2026
1. Nature of AI-Generated Content
HELM Fleet Command incorporates artificial intelligence features powered by Claude, a large language model developed by Anthropic PBC. These AI features include but are not limited to: the AI Copilot, Daily Captain's Brief, AI Passage Window Planner, Smart Provisioning AI, Predictive Maintenance, Charter Weather Viability, and Document OCR.
ALL AI-GENERATED CONTENT, RECOMMENDATIONS, ALERTS, SUMMARIES, AND OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL AND ORGANISATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THEY DO NOT CONSTITUTE AND MUST NOT BE RELIED UPON AS:
- Legal advice or legal interpretation of any maritime convention, regulation, or statute
- Compliance certification or confirmation that your vessel is in compliance with any applicable requirement
- Professional maritime advisory services
- Medical advice or medical diagnosis
- Navigation or routing recommendations that should be followed without independent verification
- Authoritative interpretation of flag state requirements, PSC procedures, or classification society rules
2. Captain's Ultimate Responsibility
The master of a vessel retains full, sole, and non-delegable responsibility for the safe navigation, management, and operation of the vessel at all times. This responsibility cannot be transferred to, shared with, or diminished by any software platform, AI system, or third-party service.
Nothing generated by HELM or its AI systems relieves the master of the obligation to:
- Exercise independent professional judgment in all operational decisions
- Verify all compliance data against primary source documents and official flag state requirements
- Maintain required statutory records in the form mandated by applicable regulations
- Conduct independent passage planning using appropriate nautical publications and charts
- Seek qualified legal, medical, or technical advice where required
3. AI Accuracy Limitations
AI language models, including Claude, can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. HELM does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any AI-generated output. The AI Copilot's responses are generated based on the vessel data you have entered into the Platform — the quality of AI output is entirely dependent on the accuracy and completeness of the data you provide.
Port contact information, regulatory requirements, and operational data within the Platform may not reflect the most current information. Always verify critical operational information through official sources before relying on it.
4. No Flag State or Class Approval
HELM Fleet Command is not approved by any flag state administration, maritime authority, classification society, or Port State Control organisation as an approved system for the purposes of any statutory record-keeping requirement.
5. Demo and Trial Disclaimer
Last updated: 15 June 2026
1. Nature of the Demo
The HELM Fleet Command demonstration environment accessible at app.helm-command.com (the "Demo") is provided free of charge for evaluation purposes only. The Demo contains fictional vessel data, fictional crew records, and simulated operational scenarios. All vessel names, crew names, company names, and operational data appearing in the Demo are entirely fictitious and are used for illustrative purposes only.
2. No Reliance on Demo Data
The Demo must not be used for any real vessel operation, compliance record-keeping, crew management, or any purpose other than evaluating whether the Platform meets your requirements. Any resemblance of Demo data to real vessels, crew members, or companies is coincidental.
3. Platform in Development
HELM Fleet Command is currently in active development. Features available in the Demo may change, be removed, or behave differently in the production platform.
4. Data Entered During Demo
Any data you enter into the Demo environment is stored temporarily and may be deleted at any time without notice. Do not enter real crew personal data, real vessel certificates, or any sensitive information into the Demo environment.
5. No Compliance Advice
Nothing in the Demo constitutes compliance advice, legal advice, or confirmation that use of the Platform will ensure compliance with any maritime regulation, convention, or flag state requirement.
6. Trial Period
The 14-day free trial of the production Platform is subject to the full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Trial access is provided on an as-is basis. HELM reserves the right to terminate trial access at any time if the Platform is used in breach of the Terms of Service.
6. Maritime Specific Liability Limitation
Last updated: 15 June 2026

HELM Fleet Command is not approved, certified, or recognised by any governmental authority, flag state administration, or international maritime organisation as a system for the maintenance of statutory records. 3. MLC 2006 Compliance
The Hours of Rest module within HELM is designed to assist in tracking compliance with the rest hour requirements of MLC 2006. However, HELM does not warrant that use of this module ensures compliance with MLC 2006 or any other maritime labour convention.
4. Vessel Safety
HELM accepts no liability for any incident affecting the safety of the vessel, persons on board, cargo, or the marine environment.
5. AI Navigation Assistance
The AI Passage Window Planner, weather analysis tools, and routing features within HELM are provided as supplementary decision-support tools only. They must not be used as primary navigation aids.
